Dear President:
The main reason of this letter is to complain and try to draw your attention to the enormous and serious problem in the Chilean health system. I'm pretty sure that the people who advise you have kept you abreast of all the factors that have been slowly destroying the hopes that the Chilean society had pinned on you.
The more we try to find something to say is right the more we find out horrible hidden things that are not supposed to be in the spotlight and it's quite discouraging. Everytime I see the news there is a new case of medical malpractice, financing health problems, people defrauded with the prices of medicines, etc. This is something really worrying, How can this be possible? Health care is something basic, or at least it should be, but in this country you can see how these people play with the lives of millions of citizens, they see Health as a lucrative thing and I do not like it at all, and I'm pretty sure I'm not just speaking for me saying this.
In addition to this I would like to mention the low level of protection that has been given to the elderly. I strongly believe that if the people in churge of the money of this country stop spending money on things like transantiago which is a lost cause there would be money enough to improve this Chilean health system. Is up to you to change our lives mrs. president. Personally I'll keep believing that there is a way to change this mess untill the bitter end.
My message is: It's time for you to take matters into your own hands.
Yours sincerely,
Adrián Guzmán .-
